Rhapis palms are one of the hardiest clumping palms for either indoors or a sheltered spot in the garden. They are very slow growing, so do not require much maintenance. Allow the plant to dry out between waterings, and re-pot when suckers fill pot. Apply a high-nitrogen fertiliser regularly. They will tolerate darker areas in the home than other indoor palms.
